Homerton, in the western district of Victoria, Australia.
I grew up in Homerton where my parents had a dairy farm. We ourselves have a farm in Homerton, leased to a neighbouring dairy farmer. The farm house is our 'holiday house' and we visit frequently. A third of the farm is bush, there are bush blocks on all sides and the roadside vegetation near the farm is intact native vegetation. My interest in birds that visited the farm evolved into an interest in everything natural on the farm and in the district.
The area covered in this study is bordered by the Heywood-Woolsthorpe Rd and the Fitzroy River in the south, Macarthur Rd on the north, the Annya State Forest near the Henty Highway on the west and Lake Condah and areas of the Mt Eccles National Park near Millards Rd on the east.
Photographs will be regularly added to the galleries on this website so please revisit. By clicking on any photo in the galleries you will view a larger image as well as informative text.
